Yamuna Authority Initiates Survey for Over 2,000 Residential Plots in Proximity to Airport
Noida: The Yamuna Authority has launched a survey spanning approximately 3,778 acres across four emerging sectors. Sector 5 is earmarked for residential development, while Sector 6 is designated for industrial purposes. Sectors 7 and 8 will be utilized for mixed land use.
Officials anticipate completing the survey within 15 days, following which the Authority will expedite land acquisition procedures for these sectors.
“During the survey, assessments will determine the existing land usage and constructions. Subsequently, based on the survey report, a proposal for acquisition will be formulated and forwarded to the district administration to progress the acquisition process,” stated an official.
Officials have announced plans to acquire land for four new sectors in Noida. Sector 5 will be for homes, Sector 6 for industries, and Sectors 7 and 8 for various uses. About 942 acres will be acquired for Sector 5, 859 acres for Sector 6, 1,167 acres for Sector 7, and 810 acres for Sector 8.
In Sector 5, over 2,000 plots will be available for people wanting to build homes near the airport. Sector 6 will be solely for industries.
Sectors 7 and 8 will allow multiple uses. About 70% of the land can be used for industries, 10% for homes, 13% for shops and offices, 5% for institutions, and 2% for other purposes. This will let industries build homes and set up shops and offices for their workers.
Since these sectors are near the Noida International Airport, industries related to aviation and logistics will be prioritized.
A new proposal has been sent to the Aligarh district administration for a logistics park in the Tappal-Bajna area. The previous proposal was sent back because the plot numbers didn’t match the actual spots.
Also, the district administration has asked for extra compensation for land bought during the construction of the Yamuna Expressway, which hasn’t been paid yet.
